Our God of Hope

Romans 15:13 NKJV
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope!

To be heading somewhere in our life, we need to hope in something. If we have no hope in anything, we will lose even the will to live. It is good to have hope in life.

But in order to have a hope that will give us certainty and assurance we have to go back to the source of all hope, which is God Himself.

Our God is also called the God of hope. When we hope in God and trust in Him, He will fill us with joy and perfect peace.

Men may disappoint us and situations may fail us. But when you hope in God, God will never disappoint us. In fact, God will do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask, think or imagine (Eph 3:20).

It may not be always easy for us to learn to put our hope and trust in God. Our flesh may fail us at times and we may feel discourage and start to lose hope. God knows we need help and therefore He sends us the Holy Spirit. When the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround our life, He will cause us to abound with hope.

In Luke 11:9-13 when Jesus said ask and you will receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it will be opened to you. Jesus was saying that we should ask, seek and knock to ask God for the Holy Spirit and He will give to us. Thus, ask God boldly today for more of the power of the Holy Spirit in your life that He may surround you until you radiate with hope!

Prayer:
God, You are my source of hope and assurance. I will trust and hope in You for You will never fail me. Lord, send me more of Your Holy Spirit this day, that I may be empowered and be radiated with hope. Amen.

Guarding Our Heart Against Offenses

Luke 17:1 NKJV Then He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come! I love how Jesus taught us very real and practical things. But they are also hard truths that we need to know and manage them so that we can live a victorious Christian life. Here in Luke 17:1, Jesus warned us of two things. One, that offenses would definitely come. Secondly, that we should not be those who bring on the offenses. Why it is good to switch on Christian music while working?

The last few days, I've been working at a booth in the Hong Kong Jewellery Fair. While working, I left my music on via laptop, soft but can be heard.  I put it on low volume because the people in the world do not understand. But as I begin to work and listen to the music at the same time, there is a sense of peace. It is good to put on Christian music because as the singer sings, the words can remind you of God's goodness. We are spiritual beings, but in physical bodies. Therefore we are limited physically. It's difficult to be thinking about God's presence and offering prices for our products at the same time. But Music helps! As you listen to the music, you hear the singer singing the words, you become aware of the presence of God. If the song is about Jesus, you begin to sense Jesus, your brother beside you.
