Jesus' Love demonstrated in Delay

John 11:5‭-‬8 TPT
5-6 Now even though Jesus loved Mary, Martha, and Lazarus, he remained where he was for two more days. 7 Finally, on the third day, he said to his disciples, “Come. It’s time to go to Bethany.” 8 “But Teacher,” they said to him, “do you really want to go back there? It was just a short time ago the people of Judea were going to stone you!”

God has His ways of doing things that are often unconventional. We may not always understand but we can learn to trust Him. Especially when He seems to delay in showing up, it does not mean He don't love us.

Even though Jesus loved Mary, Martha and Lazarus, he delayed in going to them when Lazarus was sick to the point of death. But Jesus knew exactly what he was doing and the timing that he should be going.

This was a case whereby Lazarus had to go through temporal death that Jesus may raise him from the tomb. It happened so as to demonstrate that Jesus had the power to resurrect the dead.

God has a perfect and divine timing in fulfilling His plans for our life. When we pray and His answers have yet to come, we need to patiently wait upon Him. Even when we need to go through a difficult time to the point of losing hope, hold on to your faith and trust Him for He is faithful.

And Jesus was willing to risk his life to save Lazarus at Bethaby. He went back to the place where the people there had wanted to stone him not long ago. That was how much Jesus loved us that he was willing to risk his life to save us.

If Jesus went to such great lengths for us to the point of giving up His life to die for us, why would he not want to help us in anything? Yes, Jesus loves us so much. There is nothing that he will not do for us to give us a good life in him. He made us a promise that he has come to give us life and life more abundantly (John 10:10).

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for loving me. I may not understand why I am experiencing delay. But I will trust You that my miracle is on the way. Amen.

Blessings,
Hazel Ashley
