How to pray the Word?
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. (Matthew 24:35 NKJV)
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. (Mark 13:31 NKJV)
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. (Luke 21:33 NKJV)
Out of the 4 gospels, 3 of them stated the same verse. It must have been something so impressionable and significant that Jesus said during His ministry that it imprinted into the disciples' hearts in a deep way.
The Word of God is true. It never fails. That's why we take verses and hold it in our hearts, so that we can be reminded of His promises.
Today, let's try something different. Instead of just holding on to the word/verse, let's declare them over our lives.
I was having some problems with my daughter of 10 years old. And I was just praying to God, asking Him to come and intervene. And Holy Spirit led me to Proverbs 31, The Passion Translation.
As I read the verses about "The Radiant Bride" in this translation, I began to see my daughter's name appear in those verses. Then I heard Holy Spirit telling me to declare those verses over my daughter. And I began to do it.
While I spoke out those verses over her, by replacing her name and willing in my heart that that is what God says she is, I began to tear. I had an encounter with Elohim God. He began to show me His righteousness and grace over my daughter's life. I finally submit it to Him.
Today, I want to encourage all of us to take His word like precious jewels. Hold it in our hearts and declare it over our lives. We may not feel that those words even speak or describe about us. We may even feel that we missed the mark totally. But guess what! This is exactly why God gave us His word! So that we could take it, declare it and allow Holy Spirit to move in us, and eventually walking it out!
To end this sharing, I would like to share Proverbs 31, how I rephrased and included my daughter's name in it.
- Angel Tay is a woman of strength and mighty valor! She’s full of wealth and wisdom.
- The price paid for her was greater than many jewels, for she is precious in our sight and in God's eyes.
- We can entrust our hearts to her for she brings us the rich spoils of victory.
- All throughout her life she shall brings to us what is good and not evil.
- Angel searches out continually to possess that which is pure and righteous.
- She delights in the work of her hands.
- She gives out revelation-truth to feed others, through her God-given gifts and talents.
- She is like a trading ship bringing divine supplies from the merchant.
- Even in the night season she arises and sets food on the table for hungry ones in her house and for others.
- Angel is someone who sets her heart upon a nation and takes it as her own, carrying it within her.
- She is hardworking and labors there to plant the living vines.
- She wraps herself in strength, might, and power in all her works.
- She tastes and experiences a better substance, and her shining light will not be extinguished, no matter how dark the night.
- She shall stretch out her hands to help the needy and she lays hold of the wheels of government.
- She shall be known by her extravagant generosity to the poor, for she always reaches out her hands to those in need.
- Angel is not afraid of tribulation, for she shall be covered in the dual garments of righteousness and grace.
- Her clothing is beautifully knit together— a purple gown of exquisite linen. She knows how to groom herself well.
- Even her works of righteousness she does for the benefit of her enemies.
- Bold power and glorious majesty are wrapped around Angel as she laughs with joy over the latter days.
- She shall have teachings that are filled with wisdom and kindness as loving instruction pours from her lips.
- She watches over the ways of her household and meets every need they have.
- “There are many valiant and noble ones, but Angel has ascended above them all!”
- Charm can be misleading, and beauty is vain and so quickly fades, but Angel lives in the wonder, awe, and fear of the Lord.
- She will be praised throughout eternity .
- So we shall give her the credit that is due, for Angel has become a radiant woman, and all her loving works of righteousness deserve to be admired at the gateways of every city!
Have a blessed mid-week!
