Faith and Endurance

James 1:12 NKJV

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

James (Jacob) 1:12 TPT
If your faith remains strong, even while surrounded by life’s difficulties, you will continue to experience the untold blessings of God! True happiness comes as you pass the test with faith, and receive the victorious crown of life promised to every lover of God!

When bad things happen to them, believers may get upset with God. They think that if God was to be so good and powerful, God should have prevented the bad thing from happening in the first place. Thus if God didn't prevent it, they begin to question and doubt His goodness.

The thing is we should not become naive when we got saved. Even when we are saved, we are still living in this fallen and broken down world. There will still be sicknesses, poverty, strife, sins and all the bad things that can happen. Only heaven is free from all these imperfections.

So what is the difference between us and the unbelievers? The difference is that we can have faith and hope of an eternal life in God.

And as we are reborn in the spirit, our spirit man is awaken and alive to the Spirit of God. We no longer see things just from our flesh and in the physical realm but God has revealed to us and we can perceive what is happening in the spirit realm and understand the move of God (1 Cor 2:10).

As believers God has also restored our position, identity and authority as children of God. Therefore we can activate the power of God through our prayers and partnership with Him.

Jesus said blessed are those who have not seen Him and yet they believed (John 20:29). As Christians, our belief and trust in God is a journey whereby we learn to walk by faith and not by sight.  We must not allow on our external circumstances and bad experiences to shake our faith.

There are many blessings and a reward of a victory crown awaiting those who stand strong in their faith in God to endure in times of temptations, trials and testings. If we continue to trust God and walk with Him no matter what difficulties we are going through, we will be assured that He will walk us out of darkness into His glorious light.

What we need is to keep ourselves strong by being faithful in reading the Word and in seeking Him in prayers. We need to pray for God to give us wisdom and revelation to know what He is doing in the season and for Holy Spirit to give us visions and dreams to remind us of His promises.

Prayer:
God, I surrender my stress, worries and anxieties to You. Jesus, carry all my burdens on my behalf. I will choose to walk by faith and not by sight. I trust You no matter what difficulties I am going through. You will lead me out of darkness into Your glorious light. Amen.

Blessings,
Hazel Ashley
