Waiting on God: If God is not in a hurry, why should I?

In this advanced technology and fast pace society, our expectation for speed is raised. We do not enjoy waiting and we want things to work out fast and immediately. But not everything happens instantaneously. Especially the good things in life requires waiting.  When it comes to life stages and seasons, you cannot try to hurry through or speed them up. A baby will not skip from crawling to walking immediately. A 3-year degree course will not be  completed in 3-months. Why do we need to wait? As we go about our daily life, we tend to become so absorbed into the routine, mundane and stress that we end up relying on our own strength to go through. Instead we need to learn to live with our faith, apply the word of God that we receive in church and intertwine it to become part of us and the central guiding system of our life.  Ps 84:5-12 tells us about the good outcome of walking with God and putting our trust in Him. When our strength is not dependent on our own but on God, the bible calls us Blessed! When our trust is not in our own talents, gifts and abilities but in God, the bible calls us Blessed! When we separate the Word of God from ...
