Finding Your Security in Christ

The message from the word of God in Psalms 46:1-7 speaks of unshakable, immovable, being strong and secure in Christ. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Refuge is where we can take shelter from in times of danger and difficulty. Indeed we can take refuge in Him in challenging times for He is our strong tower that we can run to and dwell in. God is our Strength. When we are weak, He is our pillar of strength that we can lean upon. It is all right to feel weak at times, for we are not perfect. Yet, through His love and grace, our weaknesses are made perfect in His strengths. God is our very present help. This is an assurance and promise that God is right here in this moment to help us. When we do not see our breakthrough coming and that our prayers have not received the answers we need, do not be misled to think that God is either not hearing or not doing anything to help you. We need to remind ourselves of the promises and the goodness of God in our ...

Where is God when I am facing storms of life?

In life, there will be storms that we will face. When strong winds and waves of adversities come and rock the boat, we will experience times of shaking, times of impending danger, times of fear and our faith is being challenged and tested. As we pray and we did not get the answers we need, we begin to doubt and get upset. Where is God when I am facing storms of life? Where is God when I needed Him most? Mark 4:39 He did not abandon us in the midst of the storm and He will never leave us nor forsake us. Jesus is in control. He is the Lord and the Captain of our boat. He is in control of all situations in our life and He is in control of the storms. Even the winds and the waves obeyed Him and calmed at His word. Today Jesus is here to speak PEACE into our life. When Jesus speaks PEACE, every storm shall calm down at His word. Not only that, He promises ...

Forgetting about the past and putting them behind (Phil 3:1, 7-8, 12-14) is the key to moving on to fulfill the calling of God in our life. When you keep looking back to the past, you will get distracted and lose your focus on your present and your future. Eventually, you will have little or no progress in life, or even regress backward. Remember Lot's wife, how God has warned them not to look back behind, as God was destroying Sodom and Gomorrah,  but she looked behind and she turned into a pillar of salt. That's not the will of God for us. God has a future and a hope for us. His plans are to prosper us and not to harm us. (Jer 29:11) We need to always look up to Jesus, for He is the author and finisher of our faith, He is the Beginning and the End. He holds our future in His hands. When we let go of the past that we are holding on to, then our hands are free up to hold God's hands. You can never change your past: your bad choices, your broken relationships, your fa...
